The American Animal Hospital Association has recognized our dedication to the highest quality of care standards in the veterinary profession and commitment to our patients, clients and community. Proud AAHA Member since 1992.
There is a reason why our clients drive from as far as Ohio, Kentucky and Virginia to see our staff: we set a standard for veterinary care that is unsurpassed. In fact, we are the only veterinarians in the Charleston area accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. Since 1992, we have been evaluated on over 900 standards required to achieve this accreditation, and we are reevaluated every 3 years to ensure we continue to meet them.
Animal Care Associates, Inc. has been treating pets since 1984. Having independent professionals consistently assessing our standards for care, keeping up with the latest technology and hiring the best and most qualified staff are just a few of the reasons why our business continues to grow decade after decade.
At our practice, we treat more than just cats and dogs. We are a leading healthcare provider in the area for birds as well as exotic and pocket pets. We see uncommon animal companions like Bearded Dragon lizards, snakes, sugar gliders and hedgehogs as well as more common pocket pets like bunnies, hamsters and ferrets. Seek us out for all of your small animal healthcare needs.
Animal Care Associates is proud to provide pet boarding services. If you are planning a vacation or an extended weekend away, do not hesitate to schedule your pet's stay. We provide you with peace of mind while you are out of town. Our caring, professional staff members will ensure that our guests have fresh food and water each day and that his or her bedding is clean. Another advantage of boarding at Animal Care Associates is that we have trained veterinary staff who can recognize the signs and symptoms of illness. If your pet appears sick, we will notify you immediately, and our veterinarian will examine your pet to determine the cause of the illness. If treatment is required, we will call you with options that allow you to determine the best course of action.
Special diets can be accommodated if supplied and the use of refrigeration and microwave is available if needed. We offer Hills Science Diet quality pet food for those pets not on a special diet.
All pets must be up-to-date on their vaccinations prior to boarding. However, if you pet is due vaccinations please call our office at 304-344-2244 and speak with one of our client care representatives for more information.
